About Me

About Cooking with Lucy

Cooking with Lucy was established in 2010 and was a website and a means of recipe sharing when I worked within the food media and publishing industries. Experience has included working behind the scenes for Masterchef, and My Kitchen Rules. Testing and writing recipes for cookbooks and Magazines including the Neil Perry section in the Sydney Morning Herald’s Good Weekend Magazine. I was also a contributor to drought fundraiser, Farmer Cookbook. I am now a regular recipe contributor to the Barossa Leader Newspaper and in the process of writing a cookbook.

Lucy's Foods

Lucy’s Foods was established in early 2015, when my sister gave me some figs from her laden tree. Not wanting them to go to waste, I turned the figs into paste and started selling to cheese shops. I now have distribution networks around the country.

Master Mike's

In autumn of 2021, my son Michael came home from school one day with pomegranates he had picked from a neighbour’s tree. He took it upon himself to squeeze the juice with his bare hands and so we made molasses.

Mike, a budding artist from a young age, designed the label and so we started selling to shops and creating recipes to share.

Indigenous foods

With a long history of family in Australia, Lucy is interested in bloodlines and multiculturalism.
With close connections to indigenous people, it has been a very natural progression for Lucy to “Go walkabout” and experience what is amongst us and close at hand.
